No day is the same for the doctors, nurses, and staff members at Chicago’s state-of-the-art trauma center—but that’s to be expected inside the world of “Chicago Med.” In each episode, we bring viewers through a swell of emotions as they come to experience the moments of chaos and acts of courage that come to life on screen every week. Inspired by real medical cases and infused with plenty of personal drama, the series showcases a team of determined medical professionals who tirelessly work to confront ethical dilemmas through empathy and cutting-edge medicine.

Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) is the ED’s supervising attending physician while his partner Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) serves as the emergency pediatrics resident, both of them working to balance the stresses of their off and on relationship with their relentless schedules and daily medical challenges. Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) is the resident psychiatrist and often serves as the antidote for all medical mysteries; as a former Navy flight surgeon, Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) takes his lessons learned on the battlefield to navigate the endless action of the city’s busiest emergency department.

The rest of the “Chicago Med” team includes the fearless and bright ED nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) and her highly ambitious brother, Dr. Noah Sexton (guest star Roland Buck III), and charge nurse Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) who always has the scoop on what’s happening in the emergency department.
