Chicago FireS6E12 “The F Is For”

This exciting episode sees Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) jumping into the Chicago River to avoid a gas explosion, but things go awry when Severide is knocked unconscious, requiring Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) to rappel down in an attempt to save him. Under the supervision of stunt coordinator Rick LeFevour, the actors did their own stunts in this scene — for Taylor, that meant floating in the Chicago River in February with 60 pounds of gear!

Chicago P.D.S9E13 “Still Water”

In another thrilling One Chicago water stunt, Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) jumps into the freezing Chicago River at night to save two civilians involved in a car crash. Tracy and her double Kelli Scarangello, pictured above, worked together to seamlessly pull off this harrowing stunt — while Kelli braved the frigid Chicago water, Tracy shot her part in underwater tanks with a stunt crew on the West Coast.

Chicago FireS11E9 “Nemesis”

When a motorcyclist finds himself hanging on for dear life after trying to make it across a river drawbridge before it raises, Severide and the rest of Firehouse 51 bravely step in to rescue him. Filming on the Loomis Bridge in Chicago, Taylor Kinney performed a majority of this stunt himself, which involved climbing up the pedestrian side of the steep, opened bridge and repelling back down to reach the trapped man.
