Chicago P.D. Nominated for 2022 Humanitas Award

Chicago P.D. has been nominated for a 2022 Humanitas Prize, an award which recognizes television and film writers whose work explores the human condition in a nuanced way. The show has received its nomination in the Drama Teleplay category for the episode 905 “Burnside” written by Ike Smith, in which the team works to solve a deadly shooting while Officer Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) realizes he has a very personal connection to the case. Winners will receive their trophies during an in-person ceremony at the Beverly Hilton on September 9th.

“The Humanitas Prizes were created to recognize writers whose work explores the beauty and complexity of the human experience, and the 2022 nominees do just that,” said Michelle Franke, Humanitas Executive Director.

Congratulations to our Chicago P.D. team for the nomination.
