Chicago Fire Star David Eigenberg Surprises LA Fire & Rescue Station 16

This week, Chicago Fire star David Eigenberg surprised the real-life heroes of the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Station 16 in Watts — one of the houses featured on the new unscripted show LA Fire & Rescue — to get to know the squad, share his appreciation for their hard work, and treat the team to a well-deserved lunch.

David, who plays veteran firefighter Christopher Herrmann on Chicago Fire, met with Station 16’s tenured Captain Dan Olivas to swap stories about what it means to portray a firefighter on TV, on both scripted and unscripted shows. He also got a special walkthrough tour of the station and the firetrucks, and got a chance to preview LA Fire & Rescue ahead of the show’s premiere.

Don’t miss the premiere of LA Fire & Rescue on Wednesday, June 21 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock. Tune in to Chicago Fire on Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC, or stream anytime on Peacock.
