The multi-part documentary special examines the past of Joseph Naso, a killer convicted of murdering four women over a decade ago. Though police never proved it, investigators suspected many more victims died at his hands. Naso took his secrets with him to San Quentin, where his fellow inmate, William A. Noguera, says Naso confessed details about more than 20 unsolved murders. As he served his own sentence, Noguera became an amateur sleuth hoping to repay his debt to society by gathering clues that could help bring closure to families still searching for answers. He took 300 pages of notes about Naso, which he shared with Ken Mains, an ex-FBI investigator and cold case detective. Together, they uncover new victims and provide answers to families, as they aim to expose one of America’s most prolific serial killers in real-time.
