The FBIs Report For Duty With Action-Packed Premiere Episodes

FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International are back and bigger than ever before. All three shows returned to CBS last week to larger audiences than their previous averages, with FBI drawing its largest audience in almost two years. We’ve rounded up the biggest moments from each show’s premiere episode, as well as some of what’s in store from each show this season.

FBI

Season 6 Episode 1 recap: In a shocking start to the season, the whole team jumped into action to take down a terrorist organization responsible for a bus explosion that killed several innocent people. However, when Special Agent Tiffany Wallace brought Special Agent Trevor Hobbs to a sting operation to help ID the leader, Hobbs was tragically shot and killed.

What we’re excited for this season: With the fallout from Hobbs death, Wallace’s struggle to deal with her grief and survivor’s guilt, and the team’s ongoing search for the responsible terrorist leader who remains at large, we know it’s going to be an emotional sixth season.

FBI: Most Wanted

Season 5 Episode 1 recap: The Fugitive Task Force underwent some big changes, as Special Agent Nina Chase (Shantel VanSanten) joined the team and Special Agent Kristin Gaines said goodbye. We also reconnected with Special Agent Remy Scott, who struggles with the new reality that was revealed in the Season 4 finale: through investigating his brother’s murder, Remy found that he has a nephew.

What we’re excited for this season: Right out the gate, it’s clear that Nina is a force to be reckoned with, and we can’t wait to see what she can do this season. We’re keeping our eyes peeled for some FBI crossover, as her partner Stuart Scola is bound to make some appearances. We’re also impressed to see Remy seek out the help of a therapist and prioritize his mental health, and we’re excited to see his growth.

FBI: International

Season 3 Episode 1 recap: Picking up where last season left off, we saw the wreckage of the explosive attack on the Fly Team’s headquarters. It was revealed that Special Agent Raines suffered a critical injury as a result of the attack — but he stayed strong and survived. In a shocking twist, key informant Olivia Thornton was fatally shot before she could rejoin her family. The surprises kept coming as Special Agent Jamie Kellett revealed that she is leaving the Fly Team and transferring to the Washington, D.C. field office.

What we’re excited for this season: In the wake of Agent Kellett’s exit, new intel analyst Special Agent Amanda Tate (Christina Wolfe) is stepping in to fill the gap. We’re anxious to see how she uses her expertise to help the team clean up the pieces left behind after the explosion.
