Law & Order SVU Episode Nominated For Edgar Allan Poe Award

The Law & Order SVU episode “Eighteen Wheels A Predator,” which originally aired April 14th, 2022, has been nominated for the Mystery Writers of America’s 2023 Edgar Allan Poe Awards (aka the “Edgars”) in the category of Best Television Episode Teleplay. The episode was written by Brianna Yellen, Kathy Dobie & Monet Hurst-Mendoza, and follows Detective Amanda Rollins and Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola as they investigate an assault in Kentucky that has striking similarities to that of a victim found in Central Park, while Captain Olivia Benson receives intel that turns the case upside down.

The Edgars are named after celebrated mystery writer Edgar Allan Poe, and honor the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television. Now in their 77th year, the awards will be celebrated on April 27th at the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square.
