Inside The Law & Order Dun Dun Diner Pop-Up

This past weekend, Law & Order fans had a chance to step directly into their favorite universe with the Dun Dun Diner, an immersive pop-up experience at 1 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Part tribute, part fan experience, the event celebrated one of television’s most enduring franchises while serving up diner classics with a Law & Order twist.
The diner was filled with nods to the show’s legacy and lore, from photo ops with signage like “What Would Olivia Benson Do?” to set pieces including case files, badges, crime-scene motifs, and even costumes — including a suit once worn by Jerry Orbach, who played beloved detective Lennie Briscoe. Fans flipped through the Law & Order Ledger while enjoying on-theme comfort food like Fin’s French Toast and Elite Egg Muffins.
In addition to the food, fans had the chance to grab limited-edition merchandise. A capsule line from Dinner Service NY featured diner-inspired ringer tees, quarter-zips, and socks bundles, while on-site offerings included mugs, totes, and hats — perfect souvenirs for anyone wanting to take a piece of the experience home. The biggest buzz of the weekend came when the squad themselves showed up to serve guests. Cast members, including Mariska Hargitay, popped in to pour coffee, hand out food, and pose for photos.
Whether you came for the photo ops, the food, the merch, or the chance to brush shoulders with the squad, the Dun Dun Diner delivered a pitch-perfect tribute. Much like the iconic sound it’s named after, the experience was instantly recognizable, memorable, and distinctly Law & Order. See more photos from the event below!
