Don’t Miss The Season 25 Premiere Of Law & Order: SVU

Tonight marks the premiere of Law & Order: SVU’s landmark 25th season on NBC, and we can’t wait to catch up with Captain Olivia Benson and the rest of the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit. The series returns with a brand new episode, entitled “Tunnel Blind.”

Fans have been tuning in to watch their favorite characters investigate and prosecute crimes since 1999, making SVU the longest running drama in primetime history and one of the longest running shows on TV.  In 2023, the show was the most-watched scripted series in the first half of the year.

SVU has received numerous Emmy nominations, winning 6 total throughout the years, most recently for Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series (Ann Margaret) in 2010. For her role as Benson, Mariska Hargitay has earned 8 consecutive nominations from 2004-2011 for the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, which she won in 2006. This year, the show and its stars Mariska and Ice-T were nominated for a total of 4 People’s Choice Awards, which Mariska won in 2022 for Drama TV Star Of The Year.
