Dark Woods Wins Communicator Award: Special Distinction In Podcasting
The 28th Annual Communicator Awards hosted by The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) has announced that our eight-episode audio drama Dark Woods won in the category of Audio & Podcasts for Features-Storytelling.
“Coming in as the new Managing Director of the AIVA, I was thrilled to be greeted by such a high level of creativity amongst the submissions for the 28th season of The Communicator Awards,” said Lauren Angeloni.
With this year’s total entries tallying to 4,000, The Communicator Awards are widely known to be the leading international awards program recognizing excellence in communication and championing effective and meaningful work. The honorees are judged and curated by AIVA’s ‘Who’s Who’ of major media, advertising, and marketing firms including GE Digital, Spotify, Condé Nast, Disney, Republica, Majestyk, Fast Company, Upstatement, and more.
Dark Woods, released in November of 2021, begins with estranged ex-spouses discovering the body of a young park volunteer in the California Redwoods. Game Warden Mark Ellis (Corey Stoll) and City Councilwoman Laura Romero (Monica Raymund) must put aside their differences to discover the terrifying truth about what’s going on at their state park.
