CIA Renewed For Season 2 On CBS
Great news for fans of Wolf Entertainment’s latest police procedural: CIA has been renewed by CBS for a second season. The series, which comes from creators Dick Wolf and David Hudgins and is produced by Wolf Entertainment in partnership with CBS Studios and Universal Television, premiered in February. The show’s Season 1 premiere was seen by 8.4 million multiplatform viewers within 7 days, according to Nielsen.
When by-the-book FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss) is loaned out to a clandestine CIA/FBI task force, he finds himself teamed up with secretive and roguish CIA case officer Colin Glass (Tom Ellis). Together they will work covert operations in New York, uncovering international plots, terrorist cells and geopolitical secrets. In the first episode, the two are paired together to investigate the disappearance of a top-secret weapon, stolen in broad daylight from a U.S. defense contractor. Jeremy Sisto guest starred as FBI’s Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine in the very first episode, and more crossover between FBI and CIA has been teased for future episodes.
