Catch Up On One Chicago Shows Before Their Season Finales
It’s already been a big year for One Chicago: Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. made their much anticipated returns to NBC earlier this year, kicking off their 9th, 12th and 11th seasons respectively, and shortly afterward it was announced that all three shows have been renewed for another season. As we near the shows’ finales on May 22, we’re refreshing our memories on what’s happened so far this season.
Chicago Med
Season 9 so far: New doctor Mitch Ripley joined the team at Gaffney this season and so far has already brought plenty of drama with him, from flirting incessantly with Dr. Asher to confronting Dr. Charles about their troubled history. After some hesitation at the start of the season, Archer went through with his kidney transplant, which luckily was a success. Charge nurse Lockwood signed the papers on her legal separation, while Dr. Asher navigated the highs and lows of dating life. Goodwin received devastating news when her ex-husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Chicago Fire
Season 12 so far: Tensions ran high at the beginning of the season, and though Firehouse 51 has their space back, the drama continued. As it turns out, Severide is sticking around, and stepped in as ranking officer at 51. Herrman struggled with hearing loss following an explosion, while Chief Boden dealt with family issues relating to his former stepson. The team said goodbye to both Lennox and Gibson, while Kidd grew concerned about the possibility of a young arsonist. Brett and Casey finally got married in a ceremony at an aquarium officiated by Boden, with Mikami serving as the maid of honor and Severide as the best man.
Chicago P.D.
Season 11 so far: Ruzek finally returned to Intelligence after his rehabilitation, but not before finding himself at the scene of a late night poker game gone wrong. Torres returned from leave and went undercover, though things get complicated when Burgess discovers that he is in a relationship with a Confidential Informant. Cases took twists and turns this season, with one case revealing a hate crime and another tipping the team off to the existence of a serial killer. Upton continued to brave the ups and downs of the job despite ongoing changes in her personal life.
Watch the One Chicago finales on Wednesday May 22 starting at 8/7c on NBC and stream all episodes the next day on Peacock.
